QUEERS FOR
COLLECTIVE LIBERATION
Resources for change
Thank you for joining me!
This site should really be called "I Needed To Get Off My Ass" 😂 I wanted to share the actions I'm taking in case others wanted to take the same actions. This is a guide for taking action as queer people for collective liberation. Collective liberation is the idea that multiple forms of oppression are connected and that people must work together to end them. These are the actions I'm taking for Palestinian rights, Trans right, Environmental rights, the rights of Black folks, Indigenous folks, and People of Color, and the dismantling of police and prison systems. Here's how to use the site:
Step 1: Actions
The first step in this guide is to take a look at the actions in the "Actions" page. This is a Google Sheet that describes actions you can take, like writing to or calling your representatives, posting on social media, or volunteering. Check back frequently, as it will be updated regularly with new tasks. Be sure to take a look at the # Completions column to make sure certain actions are not being taken more than others.
Step 2: Tracking
The second step in this guide is to let me know what actions you've taken. This helps to see how effective the guide is, and also lets users know what actions are being taken frequently and which actions need more attention. Just go to the Tracking page and enter the Action # of the action you took, and press submit. Then do as many other actions as you want, and go back to the Tracking page to submit the Action # each time you complete an action.
Step 3: Resources
After you've completed the actions you wanted to take, check out the Resources page. These resources can help us better understand the problems we are fighting, and can help us be better allies for the people and places we are fighting for.
